Intel's new desktop processor, codename Presler, is set to arrive on December 27. Presler should also come in a single-core variety. One analyst calls Intel's EM64T (enhanced memory 64-bit technology) iAMD64. "All Preslers support iAMD64".

The IEEE approved the standard for mobile WiMAX on Wednesday. Finally we can have mobile WiMAX products in 2007. Ratification "of the standard does not mean that products will be immediately available".
